Before Gold Edge Digital, gold was not a brand colour for us – it was the family business. I’m Liz, and I spent years working as a geologist in gold exploration and mining operations, reading the ground to find where the real deposits were and helping bring them into production. My husband Dan is a metallurgist – his job was taking the ore we pulled out of the earth and refining it into something pure and valuable. I found it. He refined it. Between us, that’s basically the whole supply chain.
When we completed the two-year eBusiness Institute Champions Programme together, we had spent years learning every aspect of digital marketing – web design, SEO, content strategy, local search, Google Business Profile management – from some of Australia’s most respected practitioners in the field. And somewhere in that process, we realised we already knew this game. We had just been playing it underground.
What we discovered along the way stopped us in our tracks. Across Brisbane and the Moreton Bay region, there were hundreds of genuine, hardworking service businesses like tradies, allied health providers, consultants, local professionals who were being failed by their digital presence.

We set up in Mango Hill in August 2024 as co-founders, and we split the work the same way we always have. Liz is your point of contact – she runs sales, strategy, and the creative side, and she’s the one who learns your business and picks up the phone. Dan is the technical brain behind the scenes – the one making sure the engineering, the SEO architecture, and the systems underneath your website are built properly and built to last. No account managers. No offshore teams. Just the two of us, doing the jobs we’re each best at.
